Germany’s selection as ‚spotlight country’ at this year’s RE+ - North America’s biggest renewable energy conference – offered the ideal opportunity for a variety of CEP activities, including a session on opportunities in agrivoltaics in Germany and the US. The highlight was a high-level panel discussing the role, needs and best practices in market design for energy storage in the energy transition consisting of representatives of the BMWK and the California Energy Commission. The session was opened by State Secretary Anja Hajduk. In her opening remarks, Hajduk particularly focused on the role of electricity storage in the context of the energy transition.
