Germany’s selection as ‚spotlight country’ at this year’s RE+ - North America’s biggest renewable energy conference – offered the ideal opportunity for a variety of CEP activities.
With almost 200 participants, the first ever bilateral US-German conference on hydrogen was a pronounced success. It focused particularly on the opportunities of trade in clean hydrogen and hydrogen related goods an technologies.
After first being announced by President Biden and then-chancellor Merkel in 2021, the CEP was officially launched by John Kerry and Robert Habeck in 2022.
The first US-Germany Climate and Energy Summit 2022 was held in Pittsburgh on September 21-22 alongside the Global Clean Energy Action Forum (GCEAF) and brought together CEP stakeholders from BMWK, MFA, DOE, DOS, SPEC and numerous other organizations.
In 2023, the CEP was a proud partner of the German Ambassador’s German Unity Day Celebrations in Washington, D.C. and actively contributed to the event’s focus topic of clean tech.
